Today around 3pm until 4pm, i went to library to find some infomation about atom, and guess what, i found that the atom word comes from greek. The term atom, 'a' for 'not' and 'tom' is for 'divided'. After that, i go back to my room do do some research of atoms, because in the neex week, Mr.Firdaus [my chemystery lecture and a very hamsome man] said, i have to do presentation in the class about atom by grouping. After that, i continue reading a book about atom. I found that, an atom is the smallest particles. We cannot divided the atom or destroy the atom, but we can change the atom by chemical proses. An atom are made up by subatomic that called electrons, neutrons, and protons. the combination between protons and neutrons forms a nucleus. Nucleus ae generally known as nucleons. Means that PROTONS + NEUTRONS = NUCLEONS. Electrons and prontons has thier own charge. Electrons are negatively charge while nucleons are positivly charge. The number of protons is called the atomic number for the atom. The total number of protons and neutrons is called the atomic mass number for the atom. Atoms are neutral because the number of negative charged of electrons is equal to the number of positive charged protons.
